The Party Poker Million Quest Continues
The next set of semi-finals for the Party Poker Million IV are this coming weekend. I came close back in November, but no cigar (or cruise for that matter).
I completely forgotten about their imminence until yesterday night, so this morning I sat down to play in the single table qualifiers for the semi-finals. They're a $32 buy-in. 1st place qualifies for the semi's, 2nd and 3rd get to repeat the single table.
Well, somehow I managed to win the first two I entered so I now know what I'll be up to this weekend! I've registered for both the NL Semi-Finals (there also being two limit ones). As I'm on the wrong side of the pond it's gonna mean a couple of rather late nights. Friday night's qualifyer starts at 2am (that'll be Saturay morning then!) and Sundays starts at a slightly more reasonable 9pm, although to get right to the end last time took about 8 hours!
I really really really really really really really really really want to qualify! It would be so cool to be able to play in a WPT event, especially when it envolves a week's cruise for two! Ammbo, from the forum is currently in the Bahamas playing in the Poker Stars WPT event. Otis from Up for Poker is also there since Stars have him blogging the event for them. He's also just qualified (see his post) for the Party Million - envy and congratulations in equal measures!!
Mentioning Otis brings me nicely on to mention the little additions I've made to this here blog. I've been gradually discovering the massive community of poker bloggers over the last couple of weeks so I've posted a whole load of links. I can't believe I didn't come across them earlier, but better late than never; from what I've read so far, I'm going to have a lot of fun getting to know them.
That all for now - I must nurse my aching limbs; today was our first swimming session of the afore-mentioned fitness regime, more ouch.

Thanks for the link-up Pinky. Good luck on your PPM quest. I was in Oxford for four weeks the summer of 1968 at 139 Banbury Rd - St. Claire's college, if I recall correctly. Spent a lot of time at a pub called the Dew Drop.... 8^)

Hey folks. Thanks for stopping by.
I have a quick question for you: how do you know who links to your blog and can you find out where your hits come from? I have "Site Meter", but it's pretty basic. Thanks.
